Prime Tobacconist's 2nd Anniversary Celebration
Connecticut has no shortage of places to enjoy a great cigar, but finding a Connecticut cigar lounge where the cigars are only part of the experience? That’s what makes Prime Tobacconist different. Two years ago, Prime Tobacconist opened its doors in Milford, Connecticut, with one simple goal: to create a place where great cigars, great conversation, and great people could come together.
Two years later, it’s safe to say that vision has become something pretty special. We recently celebrated Prime Tobacconist’s 2nd Anniversary Celebration, and what a celebration it was! More than 60 guests came through the doors to light up a cigar, enjoy some incredible food, and celebrate everything that makes Prime what it is. The atmosphere was exactly what you’d expect from a Prime event: laid-back, lively, and filled with people who know how to have a good time.
Of course, no Prime celebration would be complete without premium cigars. Every attendee received a swag bag packed with eight cigars, along with a variety of other goodies to take home. With a selection of great smokes in hand, guests had everything they needed to settle in, relax, and enjoy an afternoon of good company.
Then there was the food! Chef Raul brought the heat with a savory seafood boil, serving up a spread that quickly became one of the highlights of the afternoon. It was the kind of meal that encouraged everyone to grab a plate, gather together, and stay awhile.
No anniversary party is complete without dessert; Sweet Cupcasions created an absolutely stunning cake that was truly a work of art! It was a chocolate cake custom-designed into a cigar humidor, complete with our logo and edible cigars!
Guests could also enjoy a bourbon tasting with Corey from Wines & More, adding another layer to an already pretty fantastic afternoon. Add in live DJ entertainment, plenty of cigars, and a room full of familiar faces, and you had all the ingredients for a memorable celebration.
Of course, we couldn’t let everyone leave without a little chance at winning something. More than 20 raffle prizes from our generous sponsors were handed out, giving guests even more reasons to stick around and see what they might take home.
If you didn't know, Prime Tobacconist is a drop-off center for Cigars for Warriors, a non-profit organization that honors and supports U.S. troops by providing them with premium cigars that offer a brief escape, camaraderie, and a taste of home while deployed in combat zones. One of their generous volunteers joined our celebration, and each attendee who donated was entered into an additional raffle.
What Makes Prime Tobacconist Connecticut's Premier Cigar Shop & Lounge
The best part of the day wasn’t the food, the cigars, the bourbon, or even the prizes. It was the people. Over the past two years, Prime Tobacconist has grown into more than just a Connecticut cigar shop. It has become a gathering place; a spot to unwind after work, meet up with friends, discover a new cigar, share a drink, or simply spend a few hours enjoying the company of good people. That’s what Prime has always been about. As we head into year three, we’re just getting started with some exciting new offerings!
Thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors, shared a cigar, attended an event, brought a friend, or helped make Prime what it is today. Here’s to two years of Prime Vibes, and many more to come.
