Welcome to the May edition of your Boricua Cigar pack. This month is definitely an interesting selection, one I hope you read about and truly appreciate! You have a minimum 10 year old beautifully aged lancero, a 2016 limited edition cigar from Macanudo along with 3 amazing cigars from well known manufacturers such as Nestor Miranda, La Aurora, and My Father Cigars. Also for this month I added a treat for you in the form of the “event only” My Father Cigars Special S cigar. Let’s break down the cigars for you and as always, please share with your fellow cigar lovers! Chances are if you are enjoying this, so will they.
Nestor Miranda Special Selection - Toro
Previously debuted in 2006, Special Selection brings together a Nicaraguan criollo 98 binder combined with a blending of Condega, Estelí, and Jalapa Nicaraguan fillers all wrapped skillfully within a Nicaraguan habano wrapper. This impressive medium-full bodied blend offers a delicious flavor profile of rich cocoa, earthiness, wood, nuts, and spice. Constructed at My Father Cigars S.A. Factory in Estelí, this cigar mirrors the same solid construction as any others produced there.
Leon Jimenes Connecticut Belicoso
Expertly crafted for unmatched consistency, the León Jimenes Connecticut cigar delivers a smooth smoke every time. The special light Connecticut shade leaf wrapper, paired with the Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco blend, create a medium-bodied smoke that’s creamy and nutty.
My Father Vegas Cubanas - Corona
These cigars are now hand rolled in the Garcia Family’s state of the art facility in Estelí, Nicaragua with the original blend of Nicaraguan and binder tobaccos covered by lustrous Corojo Rosado wrapper. Medium bodied and full flavored, The Vegas Cubanas is oozing with the rich, spicy, earthy, and nutty, Cuban-style flavors that made My Father Cigars one of the top-selling brands in the world today.
CAO LX2 Lancero
CAO LX2 ("Ligero times two") is the third and final installment to the CAO "X2" trilogy. This ligero-heavy powerhouse possesses a full-bodied flavor profile and was inspired by tobacco grown on the 140-acre "Pueblo Nuevo" farm located just outside of Condega, Nicaragua.
This cigar was released in 2011, so take a look at that cellophane when you have a moment (and send me a photo!).
The Macanudo Mao 2016 No. 11 is a medium to full bodied beauty and brings with it nutty, sweet, and spicy flavors. The Macanudo Mao 2016 No. 11 uses Dominican, Colombian, and Nicaraguan Fillers, blend in with a Mexican Binder, and finally wrapped in a Connecticut shade wrapper. Macanudo Mao 2016 No. 11 has a Churchill shape and a perfect size of 7 x 50 that you are going to enjoy every bit of!
