April was an exciting month at Prime Tobacconist, Milford, Connecticut’s premier cigar lounge and retail shop. From exclusive events and special sales to the arrival of new premium cigars, we had plenty of fresh experiences to share with our loyal customers and new visitors alike. Whether you stopped by for a smoke, stocked up your humidor, or joined us for one of our vibrant events, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Read on for a full recap of everything that made April 2025 a memorable month at Prime Tobacconist!

New Cigars in Our Humidor

This month, we added more limited and rare cigars to our humidor for our customers looking to elevate their smoking experience. First came the Avo Syncro Nicaragua 10th Anniversary, which was created to honor Avo's Syncro Nicaragua line. "AVO's Master Blenders created the 10th Anniversary Limited Edition with a Nicaraguan-forward blend. With its Nicaraguan binder, its Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobaccos under an Ecuadorian wrapper, this exceptional cigar provides a sophisticated and immersive enjoyment, highlighting the brand's long-standing expertise in cigar creation."

We're also excited to have added even more to our Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust collection, including Year of the Duque, the debut release in a new annual series honoring Chris Duque—a beloved friend whose generosity and unwavering passion for the cigar community left a lasting mark on DTT. Inspired by the Chinese New Year, Steve Saka envisioned a more personal tribute: celebrating the friends and supporters who have been instrumental to Dunbarton's story and success. We currently have this cigar available as a full box purchase in our online shop or single cigars in-store.

Next was the Casa Carillo 15 Year Anniversary, which was made to celebrate the company's craftsmanship, legacy, and excellence. "For 15 years, Casa Carrillo has been dedicated to creating cigars that embody passion, skill, and an unwavering commitment to quality. The release of the 15 Year Anniversary Cigar, a 6 1/2 x 54 Gran Toro with a meticulously formed cap, marks a milestone in our journey. This limited edition blend captures the essence of our dedication, reflecting the lessons we’ve learned, the challenges we’ve overcome, and the many achievements we’ve celebrated along the way." Featuring a Mexican San Andres wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, plus Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, this cigar is rich and balanced with notes of dark chocolate, earth, spice, and a delicate sweetness.

Most recently, the BLK WKS Studio BOOMBOX 10th Anniversary box sets landed in our humidor. The BOOMBOX sampler brings together some of Black Works Studio’s most coveted limited releases—a true anthology of the bold, creative spirit that has defined the brand from the beginning. More than just a retrospective, it’s a curated collection of standout smokes that shaped the unmistakable identity of BLK WKS Studio. Whether you’re reconnecting with a personal favorite or discovering these icons for the first time, the BOOMBOX sampler is a powerful reminder of what sets Black Works Studio apart: unapologetic boldness, striking visuals, and a relentless commitment to marching to its own beat. This ultra-limited 21-count box is available in-store and in our online shop!

Black Label Trading Company / BLK WKS Studio Cigar Dinner

Our Black Label Trading Company / BLK WKS Studio Cigar Dinner was the 7th cigar dinner we've hosted at Prime Tobacconist since opening our doors last summer. We may be biased, but this was one of our favorite cigar dinners yet! Chef Raul of Lobo Reys Kitchen delighted our palates with a 3-course meal while attendees received 3 cigars from Black Label Trading Company and BLK WKS Studio. With each monthly cigar dinner we host, we learn new ways to elevate future events for our guests. For April's cigar dinner, we decided to reduce the number of tickets available to ensure our customers had an even more luxurious experience moving forward! Custom Bourbon Blending Event with Wines & More

At the end of April, we partnered with Wines & More for their bourbon blending event. Guests were treated to an exclusive evening at Prime Tobacconist where bourbon craftsmanship took center stage. Participants had the rare opportunity to create their own custom blend of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof, carefully bottled in a 200ml keepsake to take home. To complement the experience, each guest also received a hand-selected premium cigar from Prime Tobacconist. The night kicked off with an interactive blending session, paired perfectly with a curated charcuterie board. From there, guests savored a special tasting of Heaven Hill products, thoughtfully paired with gourmet offerings from Lobo Reys Kitchen. This intimate gathering offered a perfect balance of education, indulgence, and the Prime Vibes our lounge is known for!

El Mago Cut & Light Event

For this cut and light event, we welcomed Crystal Herbert, territory representative for El Mago Cigars, into our lounge. Customers were able to chat with Crystal and learn more about the El Mago cigar line. "The goal of El Mago Cigars is to deliver another reason to enjoy life's beautiful moments and create lifelong memories." What better way to have kicked off the weekend!
