Spring is about to arrive and that means cigar smokers (especially those of us here in the colder climates) get to enjoy smoking cigars outside of their shops again. There's nothing wrong with a shop since they do serve a greater purpose during the northern winters, but I do enjoy a great cigar on a comfortable 60° evening. I'm glad you have received your monthly cigar pack and are here to read up on what I've included in this month's subscription box. I am not a reviewer, blogger, certified sommelier, etc; I am simply a cigar enthusiast who loves to try out new cigars to amplify my cigar palate. Below you'll find more information on the Boricua Cigar Club March subscription pack.
Reminder: 5 packs of each of these cigars will available in the shop by March 20th.
Arturo Fuente Rosado Sungrown Magnum R 52
Size: Robusto 5 x 52 Wrapper: Ecuador Rosado Sun Grown Binder & Filler: Dominican Strength: Medium
Blender: Arturo Fuente Sr.
This cigar to me is timeless. Created in 1912 and first sold in 1980, I found myself going back to each draw truly enjoying the spiciness of the Ecuadorian sun grown wrapper. The Dominican binder and filler keeps the spice at bay which provides an amazing flavor to this cigar. What's not to like about this cigar when we share the same name?!
My Father Cigars
Jaime Garcia Reserva Connecticut
New England exclusive
Size: Toro (6 x 54) Wrapper: Ecuador (Connecticut Shade) Binder & Filler: Nicaragua Strength: Medium
Blender: Jaime Garcia
Following along the line of the original Jaime Garcia Reserve, New England is treated to an exclusive blend with Connecticut Shade (Ecuador) wrapper. If you've smoked the original Jaime Garcia with the broadleaf wrapper, you will realize just how much of an effect the wrapper has on a cigar after smoking this version, which has a completely different wrapper. We go from a bold medium to full strength cigar to a mild/medium pleasant smoking anytime of day cigar. Both versions are full of flavor but having this exclusive for New England, I needed to include this in our pack for you!
West Tampa Tobacco Company Black
Size: Toro 6 x 52
Strength: Medium - Full
Wrapper: Habano
Binder & Filler: Nicaragua
Blender: Rick Rodriguez
I cannot do this cigar justice by writing a review but Stogie Press had an amazing write up I think you should check out. This has quickly become a go to cigar for me! Click here to read the review.
Oscar Valladares Super Fly Maduro
Size: Toro - 6 x 54
Strength: Full
Wrapper: Mexican San Andres
Binder: Honduras
Filler: Honduras, Nicaragua, & Dominican Republic
Blender: Oscar Valladares
Oscar Valladares Super Fly Maduro is labeled as Oscar’s strongest blend to date. This cigar features a rich dark Mexican San Andres wrapper that lends spice to a smooth yet complex profile. The result is a creamy and peppery cigar that is well balanced for even the long time cigar smoker to enjoy.
Don Lino Africa
Size: Churchill - 7 1/2 x 48
Strength: Medium
Wrapper: Ecuador
Binder: Cameroon
Filler: Dominican Republic & Nicaragua
Blender: AJ Fernandez
This is a great smoke that I’ve enjoyed for a few years now. This is a re-release of a classic, and Nestor Miranda has AJ Fernandez working his magic on this blend. It's a medium body smoke that is creamy and flavorful to me that finishes with hints of cocoa. This particular size was only available in a special "Safari Edition Pack" that Miami Cigar Company sold in limited quantities. I'm happy I was able to procure some for my members and deliver you something uniq
